What can we say about Gauthier Soho !! Its just one of those crazy 'comedy of errors' places, like Fawlty Towers (but no where near as bad and without Manuel). You just never know what to expect of the evening.

 

One of the times we went there and outside there were about a dozen people with placards protesting in front of the entrance of the restaurant, about an Anti Foie Gras Campaign. And at one stage they managed to break in and run throughout the restaurant causing chaos and havoc!

 

However saying all that the food is mostly excellent. The owner is an incredibly passionate foodie that is often cooking in the kitchen.

 

Another time when we went there we had a tomato type gazpacho soup servied in a little clear teapot, which was soup sent down to us from 'Foodie Heaven'!

 

We would definitely recommended this restaurant, as most nights the food is excellent. But they do have their crazy nights but we just like to put it down to extra entertainment!!
