We had tried two other of Marcus Wareing's restaurants, Treadwells and The Gilbert Scott but with both of these restaurants we were not impressed at all.

 

However Marcus by Marcus Wareing clearly shows why Marcus Wareing has two Michelin Stars. The food is fantastic, and the setting is beautiful inside The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge. This is a very prestigious London hotel. So it is a good excuse to dress up to spend a special evening in this restaurant.

 

We went on an Open-table offer.

 

The food was very impressive but it was the flaky pastry Apple Tarte Tatin that blew us all away. We even went to the extent that the next day we sourced the recipe for this Apple Tarte Tatin and some of don't even cook!!

 

So to recap don't bother going to Marcus Wareings other restaurants, just go straight to this one.

 

We now understand why all the good new chefs have trained under Marcus.

 

And do try his Foie Gras Mousse its fabulous.

 

This restaurant is definitely in our top 5 Best Michelin Star Restaurants in London
