Oundle Food Festival 2017

On Saturday 24th June 2017 the town of Oundle had its annual Food Festival. Oundle itself is a rather beautiful and quaint historical market town which is really worth a visit even when there isnt a Food Festival. There are many tea houses and coffee shops to visit set within the 300 year old  limestone buildings.

As food festivals go, this was an incredibly good and organised festival. They had even thought of parking in a nearby field, with a regular shuttle bus that ran every five minutes to and from the festival. For a small town it was also a very large festival with an abundance of foodie stalls.

Melt On - alcholic ice creams - various flavours Amarett On Ginger, Mojit On Chocolate Chip, Melt On Salted Caramel Crunch

Taste Gourmet Spice Co - with their range of oils such as Blueberry and vanilla balsamic and White Aged Balsamic which were both divine
There was an entire pig roast on a spit
Munchy seeds with their very moreish Honey seeds which had just sold out by the time we arrived
Yum Yum Tree Fudge with very delicious flavours of fudge that werent too sugary
Ferndale Norfolk Farm Cheeses
Lutton Farm with their range of raspberries, blueberries and incredibly delicious Elizabeth strawberries that you should try, and Jubilee strawberries
Natures Fayre with their range of honey and some yummy honey fudge, but becareful of their glass cabinet full of live bees around their honeycomb!

There were also a selection of mobile food catering stalls including paella, homemade lemonades and many more....

Its a wonderful festival which we highly recommend and we are glad we have discovered it!
